State Rep. Kathy Schmaltz (R-Jackson) this week was presented with the Champion of Free Enterprise award from the Michigan Chamber of Commerce in recognition of her efforts to support Michigan businesses.
Schmaltz, a strong advocate for small businesses, expressed her gratitude for the award, emphasizing the importance of local businesses and their employees.
“I’m truly honored to receive this recognition,” Schmaltz said. “Uplifting small business owners and employees in Jackson, Chelsea, and surrounding communities is the focus of my work every day. They’re the backbone of our local economy and the heart of our community. I’m committed to continuing to fight for policies that help them grow, create jobs, and keep our community strong.”
The Michigan Chamber of Commerce presents this award to legislators who are actively working to advance policies that strengthen Michigan’s business climate and create opportunities for growth and prosperity throughout the state.
